I didn't necessarily want to spend this much $ on a pencil sharpener but my son really wanted it and his favorite color is green. But I was super surprised when we got it. It was much larger than I expected and it works very well! Every bit worth the price.Love this sharpener its the best one that I have ever boughtThis has a lot of power and my pencils and so sharp. As soon as this arrived my granddaughter and I sharpened most of my colored pencils. Very good to have.Very nice sharpener and great value for the money. I even like the color! I got green! Because I am a colored pencil artist this sharpener fits my needs perfectly. What are my needs and why is it perfect? The point is long and sharp. I also like the fact that, by design, the shavings have a place to fall that's below the blade. I will, and have, recommended it to my students. I wish it was also battery operated but overall, I'm happy with it.Very easy to useExcellent, beautiful pencil sharpener. I spent around two and half hours looking for the perfect pencil sharpener on Amazon. After spending a long time reading through a lot of reviews, I started to realize that a) the vast majority of reviewers who gave top ratings had gotten their sharpeners for free or at a discount (that's not normally a deterrent if the reviewer is objective, but anyone who hadn't received a discount or a freebie had a critical review-- red flags), and months of the most recent reviews were based off of freebies/discounts which makes me think that the sharpener wasn't even good enough for someone who bought the sharpener with their own money to leave a review, b) the product listed wasn't the product that the reviews were for (seller put up a good product and another product, received good ratings for the good product, and removed the good product, so that it looked like the ratings were for the other product), c) the top pencil sharpeners listed didn't even work as advertised (had to ask many questions to figure out the truth)-- for example, they would say that you had the option to choose your sharpness levels with a physical switch, when in reality, the sharpness is entirely dependent on the amount of time you keep the pencil in the sharpener (wtf?), d) the top pencil sharpeners were all identical, cheap-looking pieces of crap with a different brand on it.This pencil sharpener looks good and is smooth. I had a really great pencil sharpener that recently broke. It was awesome but the sharpening was so powerful that it would jerk your hand around sometimes. This sharpener sometimes doesn't give you an even sharpness all around the pencil, but it's smooth, relatively quiet, the shavings tray doesn't pop out, and it's aesthetically pleasing. I have had no problems and the rare uneven sharpness is fixed with a quick resharpening. Don't fall for the manipulated ratings on the other sharpeners. $30, $40 for a piece of crap? Nah. Just get this or something cheaper.I don't really use the pencil cup.And if my background bolsters this rating then great: I'm studying for a standardized exam and I burn through #2 pencils like a woodpecker. This pencil sharpener is holding up.If you are someone who likes that supper sharp point this thing will get you it everytime and fast.
